Hussain Khan could not give up the idea that he ought to be the Minister and not Birbal.Since he couldnt induce his sister to speak for him.He asked the courtiers to speak to the emperor.

They went to the King saying that its long since they had a hindu minister ,why not give Hussain Khan a chance.Akhbar thought for a while, and decided that this matter that the courtiers had present to him will be a problem if he didnt solve it as fast as possible. A few days later, the emperor ordered the courtiers, Birbal and Hussain Khan to the palace. He then presented a sealed letter ,which is for the King of Burma . The emperor wanted Birbal and Hussain Khan to deliver the letter personally to the King of Burma since it is an extremely important matter. Birbal and Hussain Khan set out on the journey.

Upon reaching the palace of Burma , they seek audience with the king saying that they have an urgent message from the Emperor of Hindustan.The Burma King was surprised when the guard announced the message and agreed to see them . But when he read the letter which the emperor had sent, he took his minister a side and ask to make arrangements for their guests to stay and to keep a close eye on them so that they dont escape.

The minister was surprised . but made the proper arrangements.Later, when they were alone, the Burma King confided in his minister .According to the letter , the emperor Akhbar had wanted the Burma King to hang both Birbal and Hussain Khan on the night of the full moon. The King doesnt understand why the emperor couldnt hang them in Agra! Then he thought that both the man that Akhbar had sent must be powerful at the Agra court. The minister advised the king if these men (Birbal and Hussain Khan) sent by the emperor are powerful then indeed they would have the backing at the court of Agra .Those in power after Akhbar would indeed be angry with the Burma King for killing their leaders , therefore they should investigate further before implementing the hangings.

Birbal and Hussain too had a secret  discussion.By then they knew that they were being watched and there would be trouble for both of them .Yet they were curious what was the content of the letter.Hussain Khan begged Birbal to safe both of them from the palace. Just then , the door of their room opened and in came the minister.Then he approached Birbal and informed of the content of the letter. He inquired why did the emperor of Agra wanted them to be hanged. Birbal replied that their emperor is a king of just ,therefore to carry out his orders without delay and queries .Hussain Khan turned pale with fear, but he went along with Birbal and agreed, hoping by then Birbal would have come up with a plan of escape. The Burma king then prepared the necessary arrangements for the hanging in fear that the Emperor of Hindustan will be angry if the king didnt do as per his instruction.

Meanwhile Birbal had created a plan and included Hussain in it . On the day of the hangings , with the Burma King present , both Birbal and Hussain argued on who would be hanged first .Birbal wanted to be hanged first since he was the one presented the letter to the king but Hussain insisted since he was the emperors brother in law he should be the first to be hanged. As this dispute was going on, the minister turned to Birbal, and asked why are both of them so anxious to be hanged first . Then Birbal replied, It is destined that the one who is killed here today will become the king of this country ,in his next birth. Hearing this the minister rushed to the King to inform of the little bit of news that he had received , the king only want his son to rule Burma and not any outsiders.The king came to a sudden decision.He asked Birbal and Hussain Khan to inform their emperor that since the emperor had not given any indication of the nature of crime that both of them had committed, the King cannot hang them.

Then the King send some of his guards with Birbal and Hussain Khan to return them back safely to Agra infear that they might kill themselves or commit suicide. Just as Birbal had expected,they were escorted to the border of Akhbars empire. When the two reached the emperor Akhbars court , Birbal said that they were well treated with great honor and even were escorted back to Agra.

Later ,Hussain Khan told Akhbar all that had happened in Burma,then the emperor asked Hussain Khan whether he still wanted the post of Minister ? But Hussain Khan felt that the post can only belong to Birbal,since his wisdom is unmatched. Hearing this , Akhbar was happy and carried on his daily ruling.
